Since our last update we have enjoyed trips to Boost where we went trampolining, West Lodge Farm and an Easter pantomime. Next month families will be meeting up to enjoy an evening at the circus courtesy of Circus Starr and making pizzas at Pizza Hut.
Alfe and his sister have attended 3 meetings to represent the charity during their school holiday and did a great job explaining what we do and why the charity does what it does. AGC Glass UK surprised us with a donation of chocolate eggs that we gave out to the families who attended the pantomime.
We can’t thank our supporters enough and received confirmation that we are part of the CO-OP local community fund for the next six months (you can find out how to support us here: https://membership.coop.co.uk/causes/5128) and also a Nationwide office will be fundraising for us for the next six months. Due to this increase in support we are now working in partnership with Northamptonshire charity KidsAid (http://www.kidsaid.org.uk/) to fund charity children to access therapy to help them cope and deal with what has happened to them and what they are going through. Prior to this families were on a long waiting list trying to access help for the children. We are really pleased to be able to refer and get the children help when they need it. This wouldn’t be possible without people and companies generosity. A huge thank you to Footloose Dance School who raised £350 for us at their charity quiz night.
